Daniel is someone who smiles really easily but hardly cries without difficulty.

“When I was a trainee, there were a lot of times when I had to wipe my tears alone so after debuting, I thought to myself that I won’t let people see me crying anymore”

So that’s why we barely ever see him tear up.
We didn’t see him cry during the last broadcast of Produce and when receiving awards at MAMA, he was only welling up.

But since singing “The 12th Star” at the last Wanna One concert, he had literally broken down and cried. Seeing him like that also brought me to tears.

At the last moment,it was like everything from the Produce times had vanished completely.
He once said that he was happiest when alongside the other Wanna One members, and had thanked and apologized for not being able to give back all the love he received from Wannable.

Normally, Daniel, when around his hyungs, would be a “little puppy wagging his tail following his hyungs” and full of aegyo; when playing with little kids, he would blend in and hang out with them like they were the same age. But don’t let that make you think he will just laugh everything off. Kang Daniel will not hesitate to give criticism where it is due! Once, when Daniel was team leader, he did not shy away from telling another trainee off for their lack of commitment to the team and required that they changed.

To talk about the free-spirit of the Sagittarius, Daniel would be the representative for generosity and freedom. It is difficult to find an idol with such a busy schedule who is able to go out to explore, but Kang Daniel will be able to use the small breaks given to him in between schedules to do just that. Nielie once went with his chingu JaeHwan to skateboard at the Han River park; he also went skydiving with his dongsaengs Jinyoung and Jihoon right after a concert finished; and he even used his 24 hour break like a 48 hour one to go skateboarding in Gwangalli with Woojin and the gang. In between a life one could not possibly find space to breathe in, Daniel is still able to find time to do what he enjoys… The harmony he creates between work life and daily life is really inspiring for others.

And finally, towards us fans. The people who belong to the Sagittarius constellation are witty and can spread happiness everywhere. This is undeniable, especially for Kang Daniel. Over a year with Niel has proved that he brings positive energy to all of us. Whether it be that we are stuck in traffic after a hard day, as long as we pull our phones out to look at the time and end up seeing Daniel’s face in the lockscreen, it is as if the troubles just went away. After a tiring day at school, under the pressure of studying, we can just go home and read news or watch videos of Daniel and all the stress will disappear. Even random feelings of annoyances can be replaced by sunshine in the heart once we read the cheesy but romantic lines that Kang Daniel has said from fanaccs…

Originating as a B-boy, Kang Daniel had always possessed strong and masculine dance moves which stood out thanks to his muscle strength and technical skills.

Before he had to discontinue his studies at a school of arts due to familial circumstances, he had majored in contemporary dance with a ballet minor, and therefore often exhibits flexible and delicate movements which resemble those of a dance

Also because of that, he utilizes extremely well one of the basic moves of ballet which is the turn out - using strength from the whole body to turn in a way that the feet create an angle of 180 degrees

For the “Spring Breeze” stage this time, thanks to the turn out and the straightly stretched out legs which must be distinctly performed, the movement became even more clear and beautiful

In order to be fitting with the romantic and lyrical atmosphere of the song, all the movements must be performed with much precision to the very tip of the fingers.

The movement of the arms and shoulders must also be soft

Because he always meticulously dances and uses his gaze well, no matter what moment you might capture him in, every single point and element in his body, from the tip of his fingers to the line of his body, is beautiful

Even the body waves and the way his body changes whilst performing the wave is stunning

Always giving it his all on stage to bring to the people what they want through his beautiful dances and the way he is able to analyze his songs, the perfomance of “Spring Breeze” by the stage genius Daniel is able to live up to people’s expectations ♥

However, because the learning environment was different from what he had imagined + his family’s financial circumstances, when he reached his 18th year, he decided to drop out and focus on B-boy-ing. When he turned 20, he passed the auditions and went to Seoul to begin his life as a trainee! It’s probably thanks to the god-given artistic emotions along with his endless efforts that has allowed us to see the Daniel of today.
