[Pann]: The more you look, the more you see the amazing ‘turn out’ moves (in ballets) and hints of contemporary dancing in Kang Daniel’s dance

Originating as a B-boy, Kang Daniel had always possessed strong and masculine dance moves which stood out thanks to his muscle strength and technical skills.

Before he had to discontinue his studies at a school of arts due to familial circumstances, he had majored in contemporary dance with a ballet minor, and therefore often exhibits flexible and delicate movements which resemble those of a dance

Also because of that, he utilizes extremely well one of the basic moves of ballet which is the turn out - using strength from the whole body to turn in a way that the feet create an angle of 180 degrees

For the “Spring Breeze” stage this time, thanks to the turn out and the straightly stretched out legs which must be distinctly performed, the movement became even more clear and beautiful

In order to be fitting with the romantic and lyrical atmosphere of the song, all the movements must be performed with much precision to the very tip of the fingers.

The movement of the arms and shoulders must also be soft

Because he always meticulously dances and uses his gaze well, no matter what moment you might capture him in, every single point and element in his body, from the tip of his fingers to the line of his body, is beautiful

Even the body waves and the way his body changes whilst performing the wave is stunning

Always giving it his all on stage to bring to the people what they want through his beautiful dances and the way he is able to analyze his songs, the perfomance of “Spring Breeze” by the stage genius Daniel is able to live up to people’s expectations ♥

 COMMENTS:

1. [+442;-14] The dance moves by Kang Daniel are honestly so surreal and stunning.

---> In a fansign, Daniel did say once that this choreography is the killing point ㅠ Seriously it’s gorgeous to the tip of the fingers

---> Seeing the way that Kang Daniel dances only allows me to ever think of one word that is “meticulous”. The way he expresses the song through dance is amazing

2. [+417;-9] Because he used to B-boy, he has really good skills and in addition to that, his muscular strength is flexible, and this allows him to dance in a way that is powerful in songs like Boomerang; also, his background in contemporary dance is really helpful for lyrical songs like Spring breeze, which lets him dance smoothly and reflect the song in a lively but still soft way. No matter the genre, he doesn’t only dance it well but the emotions that he evokes during the performance shows that he has great capabilities.

---> It’s probably that because he’s interacted with so many dance styles that he’s able to perform well no matter what.

3. [+405;-9] Hul, he can even perform that move? A B-boy that also learnt ballet, how cool is that...

---> He had participated in dance clubs from his first year in middle school, and then began B-boy-ing throughout his middle school years, all the while taking part in dance competitions in various places. Following that, he entered art school in high school, majoring in contemporary dance. However, because the learning environment was different from what he had imagined + his family’s financial circumstances, when he reached his 18th year, he decided to drop out and focus on B-boy-ing. When he turned 20, he passed the auditions and went to Seoul to begin his life as a trainee! It’s probably thanks to the god-given artistic emotions along with his endless efforts that has allowed us to see the Daniel of today.

4. [+141;-1] From head to toe, all elements of his body are utilized with excellence whether it be in his acting or dancing

5. [+136;-2] Though I’m not his fan, I still often watch Kang Daniel fancams to dance to Wanna One songs. His movements are really exact, his abilities to convey emotion is captivating, so whenever I watch the group performance, I still have to look for Kang Daniel fancams to watch.
